I bought the CB6Y last year at Lowes. This saw does fairly well at most of the work you use a band saw for as long as the job is not too big. I resaw both soft and hard wood on this saw, but nothing more thsn 1-1/2 " thick. I have resawn as thin as 2mm in thickness. The lack of a guide didn't stop me, I built my own from hardwood and a couple of 2" clamps from HF.
