As a contractor I use a lot of reciprocating blades. I use per day approx. 3 new blades ( Lenox).
With the hitachi blades I was able to cut that back to 1 every 6 weeks. They stay sharp no matter what the abuse is you put them through.
My staf is very happy with them as the even cut cutting time in half.
