Purchased this five years ago and it is still going strong on the original battery. Use this a LOT when rehabbing etc...the flashlight has had little use as own much better other options for lighting but the drill itself has been great. Very ergonomic, great battery life, long durability and has doubled the lifespan of the last Craftsman which it replaced. Knock on wood, hasn't needed replacement yet despite hard use while craftsman quality seemed to have dropped to nothing. Unsure what the changes - if any - have taken place with this product but to date, it has worked so well that have no good reason to switch to lithium yet.
