This tool is simple perfection - it does exactly what I need without complication. Drill a pilot and countersink, flip and drive the screw. The drill bit can be ajusted for depth or removed and replaced. The allen wrench needed to adjust or change the bit is actually built into the butt end of the housing. You might consider finding a kit that includes multiple different countersinks, as they are rather expensive to purchase individually.
This exact same tool has been sold under many different brands. I initially purchased a Ryobi branded kit version - I know Craftsman also sells the same driver as part of a set. When my Ryobi met an unfortunate end, I tried the new model that Ryobi markets. It was terrible. It had a bulbous body that made it hard to fit into tight spaces and was so imbalanced that it WOBBLED. I checked out several other drivers, none of which worked as well. Eventually, I found this Hitachi branded version, which has worked flawlessly for several months.Get more detail about Hitachi 728104 1/4-Inch Hex Shank, 7/64-Inch Drill, 5/16-Inch Countersink and No.8 Bit Phillips Drive Set.
