I have read other reviews and have not had any problems controlling this sander. Weak people need not work with power tools to begin with, it is unsafe. I have found that if you use "cheap" disks that they are more prone to tear and therefore will rip your pad, beware. Gator disks are one brand that will fail you. Yes it can be very aggressive, but that is why they make different grits of disks! The Hitachi really whacks the Porter Cable and the Dewalt in my book! It is a very comfortable tool.
