I bought this because I already own two other Hitachi 14.4V cordless drills and the batteries are all compatible. This driver provides the power for the jobs that are beyond the regular cordless drill. Seems to have plenty of power. A partially charged battery was plenty to screw down the floor on an 8x20-foot stage (3/4" chip board). It also did a great job driving 1/4" lag screws into old fence posts.
