Hitachi 728750 13 Bit Tip Assortment with Bit Tip Holder Best Quality

The 1-inch bits are standard Chinese stuff. The magnetic holder is substandard even for Chinese stuff. The spring-loaded retaining collar works OK, but the holder body is apparently PLAIN STEEL (not the usual non-magnetic stainless or bronze or aluminum that's been used for these tools for DECADES) so although the strong magnet inside grabs the bit it doesn't make the bit point magnetic at all. These won't even pick up a paper clip. If you're expecting a MAGNETIC holder as the description here says, you WILL be impressed in the worst possible way with these Chinese "Hitachi" (actually "REPTech") holders. Better get ones that work from another maker.
Note: If you choose to send back the item, be sure to select "replace" even though you know full well that the replacement will be defective too. Ask for replacements until Amazon gets tired of replacing defective goods and decides of their own accord to refund your money. Otherwise, Amazon will probably deduct all the discounts you used in your whole order.Get more detail about Hitachi 728750 13 Bit Tip Assortment with Bit Tip Holder.

Hitachi WH18DMR 18-Volt Ni-Cad Cordless Impact Driver Buy Now

Let me start off by saying you do not need this much power to drive screws. The 12volt wh12dmr has ample power to do any screwing or most lag bolting you will ever want to do. And the 12volt is lighter and smaller with the battery pack. The bodies of the 12v 14v and 18v are all exactly the same as far as I can tell. BUT if you already own a Hitachi ds18dmr 18 volt then this will be the drill for you. You can use the extra batteries between them and in the future when they start dying off like dinosaurs, you have extra time before you are "screwed" or actually not screwing as it may be. So if you don't mind packing a extra pound or two this will be the drill for you; if you own a Hitachi 18V. Now if the weight is something you are worried about then buy Hitachi's lithium ion that is out now. Get more detail about Hitachi WH18DMR 18-Volt Ni-Cad Cordless Impact Driver.

Hitachi 725795 SDS+ to 1/4-Inch Hex Adapter for Screw Driver Bit Right now

this chuck looked like just the thing for using the bits that come with a box of Tapcon fasteners. But the locking ring mechanism made it difficult to tighten the chuck properly on small bits. To make matters worse the ring of teeth that are used to tighten the chuck with the key broke in half from the stress of trying to tighten it properly. Seems like the sds drills are meant to use their own bits.Get more detail about Hitachi 725795 SDS+ to 1/4-Inch Hex Adapter for Screw Driver Bit.

Save Hitachi NR90GC Clipped Head 2-Inch to 3-1/2-Inch Cordless Gas Framing Nailer

I've had this tool for a year now and love it. I had some problems at first, but found out it is not recommended above 5000'. After reading some reviews on another web site, I found out it will work with RED PASLODE FUEL CELLS at my high elevation. After I switched from the Hitachi cells it worked great. Each cell cost about $10, but last a long time. It will almost shoot a box of nails. I have an air powered nailer too, but love not having the hose. The built in hanger is very handy. The battery charges in one hour and will last all day. Wouldn't build without it. Get more detail about Hitachi NR90GC Clipped Head 2-Inch to 3-1/2-Inch Cordless Gas Framing Nailer.

I'm not rating the item, I'm rating the add. I thought I understood what I was buying but I think it needs to say which model tool it fits. I needed it for an H65 Hatachi. Buying Hitachi 725790 SDS Max to Hitachi SDS+ Shank Adapter

Purchased this adapter so I could use my old small sds bits with this new Makita HR 5210 C Hammer drill. Just a brute of a drill in sheeps clothing. Used it to feather some hard rock before breaking it up. With 3 hours of this abuse on it by one of the strongest hammer drills on the market, this adapter worked just fine. Thought it was a little chep made when I first saw it but after the abuse by this drill and a number of bit changes it feels the same as went it 1st came out of the boxGet more detail about Hitachi 725790 SDS Max to Hitachi SDS+ Shank Adapter.

Buy Hitachi G18SR 7-Inch Disc Grinder

We bought one of those for work thinking that it'll speed up some of the work that we're normally doing with a 4.5" DeWalt grinder (the strongest one, I can't recall the model #).

Boy, was this a bad purchase!
Even at the slim price of only $83 that it currently goes for on sale at Lowes, it is such a completely worthless POS that it's just pointless.
It cuts slower and extremely hard to keep accurate, it weighs double, vibrates like the mother.

The guard requires an allen key to adjust which is silly, the DeWalt piece has a much more convenient latch that makes it far quicker and easier to adjust and doesn't require any tools.

The spindle lock is located in a way that makes it hard to hold as you're trying to loosen the nut and the design of the dish shaped washer as a backer doesn't make any sense as it warps the cutting wheel without even applying any real pressure on it...

I have a bunch of other Hitachi tools, nailers, impact drill and more which I'm very happy with but this is a huge disappointment.
Save your cash, don't buy this tool.

Purchase Hitachi 728242 3/8-inch x 12-inch Auger Drill Bit

This auger bit was on sale when I bought it, and it was the perfect size for the application I needed (others are either barely short or way too long). Despite the low price, the bit is concentric (more than I can say for Bosch or even Irwin products) and drills a clean, straight hole. Comes in a nice container too. All in all a great buy. Made in China. Get more detail about Hitachi 728242 3/8-inch x 12-inch Auger Drill Bit.

Order Hitachi WR12DMR 1/2-Inch 12-Volt Ni-Cad Cordless Impact Wrench

This is a high quality cordless impact wrench made by Hitachi. I bought it when Amazon had it on sale for $123.00. It was a heck of a value. I also bought a Hitachi 1/2 inch drive to 1/4 hex adapter, so I can use it as a impact driver as well. I do most of the maintenance and repair on both of my cars. This impact wrench comes in handy. It balance pretty well in the hand and it's not too heavy. It has almost 120 lb-feet of torque so it is good enough for most of the lighter duty stuff.

Update: I ended up returning this and got the Bosch 14.4V cordless impact wrench instead. I went for the 14.4V version mainly for the additional 30lb-ft of torque. I ended up with the Bosch 14.4V because of the lower price available at Amazon. I am equally happy with the built quality of either Hitachi and Bosch cordless impact wrench.

Shop For Hitachi NV50AP3 1-1/4-Inch to 2-Inch Cap Nailer

I'm not afraid to spend money on a good tool if it helps me do a better job, saves me time, and saves be from a sore arm at the end of the week from pounding thousands of nails. This nail gun is easily one of the more expensive in my garage. While finishing, framing, coil-siding, & coil-roofing nailers seemed to be a given I hesitated on buying a cap nailer thinking I wouldn't mind pounding a few caps in by hand. I found a good deal on a used 1st generation Hitachi Plasti-Cap NV50AP nailer and never regretted it!!! I have to say the balance of the 1st & 2d generation tools are awkward. You have to fight the cap magazine to keep the tool level on your surface. It looks like the cap magazine was added to the side of an existing tool design which throws the balance off. The tool wants to roll over on its side while it's in your hand. I recently purchased one of the 3rd generation NV50AP3 nailers and this is definitely the tool to buy. It weighs significantly less and the nail and cap magazines are better designed to minimize the overall profile of the gun while maintaining almost perfect balance. I have put several thousand cap nails through both of these guns and my comment on jams and mis-feeds is simple... take care not to damage or bend your nails and cap rolls and you shouldn't have any problems. I have only used the Hitachi brand caps/nails and can't comment on the generic brands out there. If you have a coil of nails that looks like someone stepped on it or tossed in the tool trailer under a pile of who knows what you're going to have problems. Anyone with coil nails should know this but I've seen some people who just don't understand why they have so many mis-feeds and blame the gun. Even if you only think you will use this tool one time BUY IT and sell it off when you're finished. You'll save lots of time, have a much easier time nailing down that felt or house wrap in the wind (been there) and your arm won't hate you.Get more detail about Hitachi NV50AP3 1-1/4-Inch to 2-Inch Cap Nailer.

Hitachi NV45AB2S 7/8-Inch to 1-3/4-Inch Coil Roofing Nailer This instant

After extensive research I chose the Hitachi roofing nailer and was not at all disappointed. The nailer proved to perform excellent under all conditions. No matter how fast I went it did not misfire or jam. The only time I did have a problem was when I went to use it for the first time. After it was "broke in" it performed excellent. My roofing contractor said that he would buy it from me whenever I wish to sell it (he had to try it out also). I am very satisfied with the purchase I made and have no buyers remorse on this item. Hitachi NT65GA 15 Gauge 2-1/2-Inch Gas Powered Angled Finish Nailer Best Quality

This is one fantastic tool, and if you do not believe me look at reviews over the web such as [....]. The nails MUST be high quality such as Senco. I had some jam in this gun because the were an off brand I tried to use as I ran out of the Senco DA type I use. I use the Paslode yellow short fuel can.
I can even over-drive in hard wood if I want. Not sure what was wrong with the other user's review tool, could be a few things, most likely the fuel is old[none is included, have to check the date code on the can], or the nails are jamming because they are not like quality 15 ga SencoDA's, or the wrong type/gauge such as "UA "or Bostich angle which look similar but are not for this gun.
This is an excellent design, well made in Taiwan, not China[wish it was made in USA].
Balance is excellent. Makes other battery only guns look like framers, at about 4#'s it is great for use overhead and on ladders, clip can be used to hang gun easily. This is so lightweight and precise I hardly use my many other air nailers. The 16 ga. straight Paslode I have, never gets used now, much larger,no angle, heavier, balance nowhere as good. The battery last a very long time and is low cost to replace unlike the other expensive higher voltage guns. The bonus screwdriver is nice for small , light work such as electrical. The molded case has extra room and hold gas cans too.

The complaints are minor. The nose cover does not stay on the storage stud, falls off easily and the door on the gas cover seems like it could break as it has a thin plastic fold as a hinge not a pivot pin like the Paslode or my Hitachi cordless RH Framer .

Just thrilled with this tool overall. Get more detail about Hitachi NT65GA 15 Gauge 2-1/2-Inch Gas Powered Angled Finish Nailer.

Hitachi C10RB 10-Inch Portable Jobsite Table Saw with Stand Get it now!

I have the smaller version to this saw that is portable with wheels and a telescoping handle. When i first got this saw I really loved it. I owned it for a total of 6-7 weeks. I did two primary jobs. I ripped some MDF 7/11 baseboard around 400b/f and later resawed around 600-800 b/f of old growth VG (vertical grain) Doug Fir which i had salvaged from my house during the demo process. It had been in the workshop for 8 years. The wood is around 80+ years old. On the second job the Hitachi started showing it's age. The table top made out of aluminum started developing wear marks across the soft aluminum from dragging the rough 2x4 (actual) across the top. It had slight depressions and and obvious excessive wear for only 6 weeks out of the box. I would assume that the C10RB is similar. Also, the miter guage was 5/8" slotted T track, so no aftermarket miter gauges could be used or jigs for that matter that would run in the slot. Any magnetic jigs would also not work due to the aluminum top verses cast iron. the throat plate was below depth and caused the the wood 3/4" DG Fir that i was milling to pitch down on occasions. No such luck if you want to upgrade the saw. The stand with the fifth leg was nice and the wheels and portability was great for loading into the Ford pickup (blue dog). The fence would not line up with the blade, it's simply a poor design and marginal build quality. I own several Hatachi tools: their double tank air compressor (it's great - 10 y.o.) i reroofed my house around 8 square, Hatachi chop saw, really good for the $ but marginal dust collection and a 16g finish gun (all steel) about 10 years old. So if figured the saw would be a good complement. if you do decide to get the saw you should get an extended purchase plan or put it on a credit card that gives an extended warranty. it will let you down. I upgraded from a very old Makita and a sears Crapsman saw. I would say that this saw is good for a beginner - to low intermediate, someone who wants to get their feet wet. expect to upgrade the saw in the very near future. I intend to get a Dewalt 746 hybrid or the Delta contractor saw. They are heavy 260lb plus, but they will deliver. I went back to Lowes and returned the saw and they were nice enough to return the saw. They only offer a 30 day MBG but they still gave me credit once i walked into the store and pleaded my case with one of the sales people. I would look at the Bosh with the anti gravity stand if you need portability, it is the better of the bunch compared to the other portables, but for a few hundred $ more you can move into a professional table saw, so I don't intend to buy the Bosh. Also look at the Festool or other brands of track saws if you need a zero clearance cut and are ripping large sheet goods. then you don't need a fancy table saw.Get more detail about Hitachi C10RB 10-Inch Portable Jobsite Table Saw with Stand.

Save Hitachi KC18DDL 18-Volt Li-Ion Impact Driver and Drill Combo Kit

I won't attest for "professional" use but for you above average home-owner (or Ranch hand) these drills are great. Received this combo last week and started putting it to work on misc jobs around the farm. Finally decided to put the drills to the test putting a 2x8 border around a small horse arena. Both drills have loads of power and could easily drill 3.5" screws through the 2x8s and into the heavy creosote (i.e. dense, hard) posts. Even with the "save" mode the drills had no trouble and care had to be used to ensure the screws weren't pulled through the 2x8s (no pre-drilling needed). Battery life is excellent and both drills lasted a full day (5-6 hours) of continuous use with no noticeable loss of power. Only advice is to get a kit with a quick-change bit for the larger drill but these drills are perfect for medium to heavy use. The only downside is the cordless charger is a bit on the loud side (it has a fan to cool the batteries when they charge) but it's worth the occasional noise considering how long the batteries last and the quick charge time (hasn't taken more than 30 mins to fully charge the batteries). Discount Hitachi DS18DVB 18-Volt Ni-Cad 3/8-Inch Cordless Drill/Driver Kit

Purchased this five years ago and it is still going strong on the original battery. Use this a LOT when rehabbing etc...the flashlight has had little use as own much better other options for lighting but the drill itself has been great. Very ergonomic, great battery life, long durability and has doubled the lifespan of the last Craftsman which it replaced. Knock on wood, hasn't needed replacement yet despite hard use while craftsman quality seemed to have dropped to nothing. Unsure what the changes - if any - have taken place with this product but to date, it has worked so well that have no good reason to switch to lithium yet. Buy Hitachi NV83A2 3-1/4-inch Coil Framing Nailer

i purchased this gun about 3 years ago from amazon, and originally rated it 5 stars. this gun is very fast, if it doesn't jam! the nail coils are rapped backwards, and if the coil is the least bit mis-shaped it's gonna get stuck. it is very top heavy. no lumber supplier stocks nails for this model. everything is special ordered. i switched to the hitachi NR 90AC3 and it may not hold a couple hundred nails, but i can buy the nails anywhere. if this gun does jam it just needs a little oil. this gun saves me more time than the coil nailer just cause it always works when i need it.Get more detail about Hitachi NV83A2 3-1/4-inch Coil Framing Nailer.

Hitachi 939971 3-Inch Stellite Tipped Blade Top Quality

After many years of turning good wood into sawdust I bought the Hitachi CB75F with 3" wide stellite tip blade. Never looked back. This thing saves time and money for me in the Guitar building world. Not many machines can deep cut 10" deep Australian Blackwood into accurate wafers hr on end without runout or waver. This one does. You gotta keep the teeth razor sharp though and let the saw do the work. I now sharpen the blades myself- after dissapointment sending to 'experts' in Sydney. I'm getting about 15 sharpens per blade. Caution- small blades (less than 3" wide) not a good idea on this saw as the can chew the rubber wheels out. Get more detail about Hitachi 939971 3-Inch Stellite Tipped Blade.

Very good set for the price. Build quality is very good. Made in Taiwan but not Cr-V. Made of high quality Chrome Molybdenum. Thin wall as impact sockets 1-1.5" go. Has retaining ring groove and very good case. I have a co-worker that bought the I-R sockets and threw away his case as too bulky. The owner's manual states that it weighs only 15.0 lbs. This thing just felt too heavy to be 15 lbs., so checked it. When I checked the weight without the depth rod on on my electronic postal scale, it read 17 lbs. 11 oz. I doubled checked it on my bathroom scale and it weighed 18.0 lbs.

In terms of performance, it does truly live up to its claim of low vibration and low noise level. At the maximum speed setting, I drilled 5/8" holes 6" deep in concrete at half a minute each. I ran it side by side a Milwaukee 5346-21 1.75" rotary hammer and I could definitely feel the Hitachi's noticeably lower vibration and noise, due to its use of a vibration damper counterweight inside the handle and an articulating vibration absorbing handle. It's a design Hitachi calls UVP (User Vibration Protection). But it's important to note that the Milwaukee is a heavier duty machine, running at 13A (with 8.6 ft*lbs of energy per impact), whereas the Hitachi runs at only 9.2A (with 7.7 ft*lbs of energy per impact). It's also worth noting that the Milwaukee 5346-21 also weighs 18.0 pounds, so the Milwaukee is a much more powerful machine at about the same weight.

It doesn't have a switch lock to lock it in the ON position, which is not a big deal when drilling, but in the hammer mode having it locked in the ON position can make it less tiresome to operate. That being said, having it locked in the ON position can be a big safety hazard if the bit hits a rebar in the drilling mode.

One aspect of this rotary hammer I very much appreciate is that re-greasing of the impact mechanism and replacement of the carbon brushes can be easily performed by the user, as the owner's manual shows. The manual states that it should be re-greased after every six months of use. The hammer comes with one tube of grease. With the Milwaukee, these simple maintenance tasks have to be performed by their service center. On top of the hefty Milwaukee service center charges, round-trip shipping costs of an 18 pound tool plus packaging can run $70 or more. Together these can easily equal almost 1/3 of the cost of the rotary hammer right there. Not to mention you'll be deprived of the use of the tool for a few weeks and risk damage to the tool during shipping. Taking all this into consideration, and you'll see that the ownership cost of the Hitachi is much lower than the Milwaukee.

The green/black Ninja-looking design of the Hitachi has a lot of sharp corners and sharp edges that, along with the heavy weight, can make lugging it around painful on the hands.

Besides drilling the 5/8" holes I haven't used it too much, but I will add to this review when I have more experience with it.Get more detail about Hitachi DH40MRY 1-9/16-inch SDS Max Rotary Hammer with UVP.

Hitachi 726100 12-Inch 60 Tooth ATB Crosscutting Saw Blade with 1-Inch Arbor Buy Now

Quality blade made in France. Should be standard with Hitachi 12" miter saws but unfortunately mine came with a 32 tooth piece of garbage. Actually came missing teeth as well. Hitachi took care of the problem to my satisfaction though. This blade seems to be pretty quiet and cross-cuts very well. Pretty smooth cuts but not as narrow as the original blade even though it is a narrow kerf blade. So far no complaints.Get more detail about Hitachi 726100 12-Inch 60 Tooth ATB Crosscutting Saw Blade with 1-Inch Arbor.

Hitachi WR14DL 14.4-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Impact Wrench Order Now

I bought this tool primarily for use when I didn't have access to air for my normal impact tools. I have used it in several different scenarios and it hasn't let me down yet. With it's ~148 lb/ft of torque, it is a very powerful tool for it's size and weight. I have used it for several things from automotive work and general shop work to removing and installing mower blades on a lawn tractor. Don't make a common mistake though. This is not a heavy duty impact. But for it's intended use and torque capacity, it is a good tool. I do like also the switchable power level. Not all jobs require maximum torque. I do wish it was a 3/8 inch square drive instead of 1/2 inch. I am most impressed by the light weight afforded by the lithium batteries. The same tool with Ni-cads would probably weigh twice as much or more. The impact is a good compact size also which makes it nice to use in some tight spots where a normal size 1/2" air impact would not fit. The included case, spare battery and Smart Charger (My words, not theirs) are very nice also. For me, this tool is a good value.Get more detail about Hitachi WR14DL 14.4-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Impact Wrench.

Hitachi SP18VAH 11-Amp Variable Speed Polisher Decide Now

We operate a professional auto detailing shop. We have 'gone through' more than 25 rotary buffers in the past seven years. We've owned the good and the bad -the German and the Chinese. We're having a second go round with the Hitachi because of the great balance, substantial torque, low weight, and long (12')cord. But the main reason? That five year warranty!
Under heavy commercial use, all brands are going to break, most within 2 years. A fine tool.Get more detail about Hitachi SP18VAH 11-Amp Variable Speed Polisher.

Hitachi 725784 SDS Max 43-Inch Rotary Hammer Shank Extension Right now

This shank extension cannot be used alone! It requires the Hitachi 725780 SDS Max quick change rotary drilling adapter to attach the drill bit to this shank extension. This is a $[...] part. The combination of these two parts creates an incredably strong drill bit extension that cannot be beat. Unfortunately [...] doesn't sell this part and the shank extension is useless without it.
