I looked at all the big stores. Home depot,lowes and ace hardware. Not one of these stores carry Hardie blades. Which really surprises me considering how popular hardie is these days. Some carry them in the 7 1/4 but none carry a 10 inch blade.

I work with and for my dad's building business.I bought the blade along with some gauges and my dad could not believe the difference. He had purchased a blade from a building material supplier for $40 and it was a blade for cutting concrete. It worked but it cut through a lot slower and created a ton of dust. It was a diference of night and day. Before I left Milwaukee to move down to Texas I checked a well known store that carried a lot of things most dont. They told me they carried the Hitachi blades in a 10" but they cost $100. So far since this blade we have done 2 houses. Still cutting great and dad still raves about it. Now I need to order some jig saw blades since I cant seem to find them at any hardware stores as well. These hardware stores are missing out on sales. Hitachi UU610 Universal Miter Saw Stand

I bought this UU610 to work with a Hitachi C10FSH.
pros:
*pretty stable.
*good leg folding mechanism.
*work supports and stop are pretty good
minuses:
*IMO, doesn't really work with the C10FSH. You can't position the saw to balance it properly.
*this is really an erector set that looks like a miter saw stand when you're finished. Personally, I think it is stupid to have the customer spend a couple of hours doing what the factory could do in 5 minutes. This is compounded by the fact that the directions are awful, pictures, no words. It's not that the assembly is *hard* - it's not. It's that having to do this work is totally unnecessary and would add $10 to the price.

In the end, a pretty good universal saw stand, once you suffer through the assembly. I guess I assumed that Hitachi would design the stand to fit properly with Hitachi saws. Wrong. This problem can easily be fixed with a plywood adaptor, and I'll probably make one. Bare-Tool Hitachi DV18DLP4 18-Volt Lithium-Ion 1/2-Inch Hammer Drill (Tool Only, No Battery) Review

I am an avid DIY'er and I now own three of these DV18DL Lithium-Ion drills. They have more than enough torque to handle most any job I throw at them. Just make sure you have a firm grip on the drill or it will torque around in a heartbeat.

The only problems I have encountered with this drill are with the chuck screw that holds the chuck in place is inadequate and I broken three of them while using a 1" Ship Auger bit to drill through a 8" log I ran into while digging post holes for a split rail fence. Fortunately I had bought the drill from L_o_w_e_s and they exchanged them without issue. The manager I talked to said that he had notified Hitachi of the problem but that they were not going to beef up the screw.

I ordered a number of chuck screws for various makes & models of 1/2" drills (including corded drills) and discovered that the Dewalt reverse thread screw #605256-01. It is just a bit longer that the Hitachi OEM screw and I haven't broken one since replacing it ^_^.

The second issue is with the tabs on the case that hold the battery in place. I accidentally dropped it 4' onto a concrete floor. It landed flat on the bottom of the battery. The battery was fine, but both of the tabs that hold the battery in place busted off. Luckily I have a Hitachi repair shop a mile from my home here in Belmont, MI and they replaced the case free of charge within a week. But as I said I now have three of these and four of the 3.0ah batteries.
